FAIRS & FESTIVITIES
During Easter Week religious processions are organised by the local brotherhood. In May is the festival of Saint Isidro the Farmer, a festive pilgrimage to the chapel of Saint in Los Pedragales Park consisting of livestock contest, agricultural and produce shows and procession through the town's streets.

The town’s fair and festivities are mainly held the first or second week of July. Music, dance and colour invades the town during a week. Processions of floats, parades of horsemen, musical and folklore shows.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS
The square, which was very important in times of resistance against occupation by the French, who never managed to take Casares, offers craftsmanship, especially pottery.

CUISINE
Delicious cuisine, such as the typical Casares soup or mountain-style rabbit cooked in various ways, but usually in an onion, thyme, rosemary and laurel sauce.  They have their own type of "gazpacho", which is a typical Spanish cold soup.  A winter favourite is soup made with bread and oil, porridge, potato stew and kid blackpudding.  They also produce their own white wines from the local vines.
